You cannot take a driver's test or fill out an employment application because you cannot read or write.
Your child's teacher sends home a note about your child's needs or accomplishments, but you cannot read it.
You cannot sign a lease or buy a car because you do not understand the contract.
This is a reality for many of our neighbors and community members. It's a life of humiliation and fear.
But it doesn't have to be.
Here to Help A ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Bridges provides free reading, writing, and English as a Second Language services for adults.

Mercy Bridges Moved!
We are still located at Mercy Center, but relocated our Office and Resource Room to the 1st floor of Mercy Center. You will enter the building at the right side of the building as usual and Reception will let us know you are visiting. Appointments for Assessment Testing will resume when it is safe for visitors at Mercy Center during COVID-19.
